Mourning

I don’t know about a campaign to “end gun violence.” But this I know deep in my heart as I read news of yet another mass shooting, this time in San Bernadino, CA

It’s not just gun violence. We are a violent culture. We are a death-loving culture that celebrates spewing hate and mocks those who bless and forgive. And it is spilling over now in this form of violence.

But this form is ugly. It is awful.

And for just one moment, would it be possible for the gun rights advocates to quit clinging to their guns AND the anti-gun crowd to quit calling for more gun laws right off the bat… and could we just… MOURN. Is it possible that we could weep over lives lost?

Go fight tomorrow.

Tonight… why can we not just mourn? FEEL the loss? Hurt?
