Pondering deep hatred

Today I ponder deep hatred. Deep resentment.

It is Scripture that has placed me in this type of meditation today.

12 The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. 13 More than forty men were involved in this plot. (Acts 23:12-14)

Here is what I’m pondering: What kind of hatred drives people so thoroughly that they are willing to break one of the Ten Commandments to take out a man they accuse of breaking the Law of Moses?

That is hatred. It is demonic. They could not shake themselves free from this hatred.
