In our time of coronavirus we are watching business and market volatility. The stock market has lost a lot of “value” in these weeks. That can create panic.
It also creates a “buying” opportunity for investors who have cash ready to get into stocks that were overpriced and now have “value” in their price.
That’s all I know when it comes to investing, so I’ll stop there.
But there is a spiritual lesson in this attitude. I was reading in Proverbs 23 and this verse stood out:
Buy truth, and do not sell it;
buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. (v. 23)
Whether you understand the stock market or not, this time of slowing down is a “buying” opportunity with the Lord. The Spirit spoke to me as I read that verse: “Today… learn.”
This is an opportunity to hear from the Lord. Friends… take that opportunity. Acquire truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding! Soak in, because what he teaches you in this season will be needed for the season ahead.
