18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. (Eph. 6:18)
9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. (Phil. 1:9-11)
Prayer is part of life for the believer. It is just as vital as breathing. Prayer is breathing.
There are such things as “prayer times” but we shouldn’t categorize our lives so that all we think about is “prayer time.” Living is prayer. Breathing is prayer. It is a constant in the life of the believer.
It is to be doing life and thinking of someone in your life and in that moment breathe their name.
It is to be watching events in this world unfold and to breathe out a thought on that event. To dwell on that event and ponder what is going on.
All of life is prayer. Breathing is prayer.
May my life be a breathing prayer, O Lord.
