Our church staff is reading John Bevere’s book on the Holy Spirit. There are some thoughts drawn from others who have fellowshipped in communion with the Holy Spirit that stirred my heart and thinking.
Knowing God’s voice isn’t a formula or method. It comes from an intimate love relationship with God.

I can so vividly remember an all day conference Blackaby spoke at years ago. In the last session, Blackaby came to the podium and then paused. The entire auditorium then sensed the Holy Spirit descending in a powerful presence. It was hushed but powerful. Weeping could be heard. Blackaby stepped back from the podium and waited as the Spirit continued to descend in a quiet beauty. It swept us away for some time.
The most holy and necessary practice in our spiritual life is the presence of God. That means finding constant pleasure in His divine company, speaking humbly and lovingly with Him in all seasons at every moment, without limiting the conversation in any way. — Brother Lawrence.
There is a divine call to stay in communion with the Holy Spirit. A call that is precious. Sacred. Powerful.
