There are probably many in our world who still erroneously believe that Christianity is for the weak. It is for those who cannot think for themselves. It is for those in need of a “crutch.” Something like that.
The claim I have made for years is the exact opposite. Christianity is not for the weak of heart. Have you met our Savior?
There is a high calling when you see him… really see him.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us runwith perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow wearyand lose heart. (Heb. 12:1-3, NIV)
He endured the cross… with joy. He conquered and took the seat of the One who was victorious.
And those who follow are called to follow that path. Welcome to “religion for the weak-minded.” 😉
