for this definition of Essence…. ” the most significant element, quality, or aspect of a thing or person ”
for me is this.. Christ crucified. I have to sit on that phrase a breath more than the next breath. just starring at those 2 words is what gets me to realize more and more that No other god out there can be this loving as the God in Jesus Christ. no one. and i am forever grateful.

After a day of French, when I read the name of this blog my mind automatically thought “fuel” because in French, “essence” is what you put in your car. If you lived in the first century, what would fuel your faith to such an extent that you would die for it?
