Chuck Colson is raising the possibilities of civil disobedience. I understand that there could be some point in my lifetime where there MIGHT be some issues that would cause a separation so severe that civil disobedience would be a course of action.
What, in your opinion, would or would not constitute such a move?
I’m not sure what would drive me to civil disobedience. I can’t think of a single example really.
my example ,if I had to be disobedient. would be to protect a human from being arrested or tortured – who is purely innocent but made to be guilty in the eyes of some gov’t law or organizational rule made because of their race, religion choice, sexual orientation, whatever it is.
what comes to my mind, is what people did to save the Jews from being arrested from the gestapo knowing they were going to the concentration camps. People smuggled jews out of the country, hid them in their own houses, gave them different names and working papers, disguised them, employed them some how, anything, from the nazi govt. knowing full well it was against the law to do such a thing.
