There are moments.

They seem like accidents. At the time, they may seem obvious, but get just past that moment and not note it, there is sometimes regret at missing the opportunity to pay a little more attention.

This happened to me the other day with an article I would have missed even the very next day. I saw a link on social media and followed it. The link led me to a summary of an essay and speech given by Paul Kingsnorth at a conference. As I read it, my heart was “strangely warmed” as Wesley would put it, but I knew I was reading something profoundly prophetic. It was titled “Against Christian Civilization.”
