There are physical famines all around us. Drought conditions are crippling regions of the world.
Spiritual famine is real. It is very real in places where churches think they are doing well. The Spirit is trying to warn believers of these conditions. The warnings are being ignored .
Hear this word clearly:
Amos 8:11–12: 11 The time is surely coming, says the Lord God,
when I will send a famine on the land,
not a famine of bread or a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea
and from north to east;
they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
but they shall not find it.
All of this because the “people of God” trampled on the poor and used people for their own advantage. We are in deep trouble.
