In 2008, I will easily confess I did not vote for Barack Obama. Yet, when he was elected, there was something that settled well in my spirit. Not about policy, but about symbols. It didn’t solve anything deep… but WOW! We had finally elected a black man to be president. In that moment, I truly felt gratitude.
In the moment.
I’d wish that for all of us in THIS moment. Policy view aside. Ideologies aside.
WOW. We just elected a woman… AND… a woman of color… AND a woman of Asian descent… to be Vice President of the United States.
I wish for all of us that would we find some piece of gratitude for what this moment CAN mean for us as a nation.

🙂👍
