Welcome to the American Church. 2019.
A friend put it into words that rang true for me. As the American Church, we’ve become good at the presentation, but what has happened to longing for the presence of Jesus?
We too often have the form of godliness and have long forgotten what the power of God looks like.
Lord, forgive us. We’ve allowed the spirit of this age to corrupt us. We are far too often lovers of ourselves. Let your Holy Spirit shine in our darkness and bring power and glory once amen. Amen.
