The boldness to interpret dreams

Reading for today:

Ps. 40, 54, 51
Gen. 40:1-23
1 Cor. 3:16-23
Mark 2:13-22

When a world needs the boldness of the prophet, where is the church?

“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.”
Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.” (Gen. 40:8, NIV)

I had this in my notes on this passage: “We need a holy boldness to let people know God speaks today. Don’t be so quick to dismiss dreams. The Spirit may be opening up an opportunity.”

We need a holy boldness to speak prophetically to the culture once again. We really need a holy prophetic voice to speak to culturalized Christianity. May we quit dismissing words from the Lord as our own thoughts, “bad pizza,” or some other excuse. May our spiritual ears be opened to hear and our tongues loosed to speak Kingdom truth in this hour of need.
