I went to church with my parents in Kansas on Sunday. The ironic thing… more like MORONIC thing… is their church was picketed by Westboro Baptist Church of all things.

I thought I heard wrong, but it was true.

It is beyond me how that much hate resides in people to the point that on a Sunday morning, when one would think THEY would even have a church service, this group gets out and pickets another church… and a conservative one at that.

But, hey, like the Tea Party roars: “NOT CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH!”

Hatred all around, I suppose.

It’s heartbreaking to see.

May we live with a generosity of Spirit that outshines the hate a group like that can give. I will give them one thing. God is indeed angry. I do not argue that point. But in the Gospels, he was angry most at religious posers…

Help us, Lord, to live with your incredible love. BLESSING rather than cursing.
