This verse out of the Common English Bible should wake us up!

¹¹ We have a lot to say about this topic, and it’s difficult to explain, because you have been lazy and you haven’t been listening. (Heb. 5:11, CEB)

There is so much to move on to, but too often we keep lagging behind. We are satisfied with being spoon fed.

The place of discipleship is the place of training. It is the place where we insist, as leaders, that we will engage other believers in a way that teaches discernment. Then, as believers, we insist on learning. 

We are too easily satisfied with the junk of this world. We call it “meat” and yet find out it’s only pablum.
