Setting aside all political arguments of what is right and wrong with this nation, I was able to experience one of the truly great ceremonies of our nation today. We have an Indian brother in our congregation who became a naturalized citizen today. It was my privilege to witness 705 new citizens from 82 different nations being sworn in as American citizens.
I had never experienced anything like it before. The ceremony was a great celebration and it is something I HIGHLY recommend everyone try and see at least once in their lifetime.
Das and I had a great time of celebration. Our church will have a great time of celebration for him later in the month as well. It was truly a proud day as an American. (Click on the picture to go the album.)

Das Naturalization Ceremony |
Yes…great thing to witness. First one for me was in the combat zone in Iraq…213 Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines who had been putting it all on the line without even being citizens. Very memorable…
What an honor that would have been!
