I was reading through Matthew 25 and came to the parable of the talents. In the margin of my Bible I had this note written:
“You can bury your talent or you can go for broke. Take the risk. Not living in risk is being unfaithful.”
An Anglicostal Connecting to a Real World
I was reading through Matthew 25 and came to the parable of the talents. In the margin of my Bible I had this note written:
“You can bury your talent or you can go for broke. Take the risk. Not living in risk is being unfaithful.”
Today I read Matt 20:1-16 about the workers in the vineyard, understanding God’s grace, and trying to understand what might look as unfair or unjust to the workers when they got paid the same, when some workers labored more than others.
The bottom line for me is that Jesus’ reward is the same. some might come to him early in life and be a servant of the LORD, laboring for kingdom work, and one might come to him so much later in life, but still will labor and serve the LORD. so if one was saved 20 years and one was only 2 years, or whatever, they both get to be with the LORD in paradise in the end. too bad we think other wise and compare ourselves with others on this matter. I like what Christ says “Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’ Excellent!!!
