What does it mean to “not take the name of the Lord your God in vain”? Is it referring to vulgar language?
Philip Yancey in his book, The Bible Jesus Read, says it is the mentality of “never live as though God does not exist” To put it in a positive light, “Always live in awareness of God’s existence.”
