Your worship stinks
Not long after I came to our current church as pastor I had a young man who came to be a part of our church from the local college where I would later teach as an adjunct. I loved that guy. Our services were awful. We didn’t have a solid worship leader at the time and our music was just…

Founding documents
We are getting ready to sell our church building and have had people doing some clean out projects. I am thankful some folks going through some old files recognized some buried treasure. In the old boxes were the first Constitution and ByLaws of our church and this announcement calling for the first official meeting of the church to set up…

What I “bank” on
I want to “bank” on the extravagant love, beauty, and power of Jesus. When those not following Christ currently encounter him through me, HIS incredible beauty shines through. Fear and trembling
This Sunday we have a Sacred Assembly in our church. We are preparing for Lent, but as never before. We are preparing for a period of fasting and prayer as we want to hear God regarding our church property. We are in a major time of transition and really need to hear him regarding a current offer, and then see…

The Church Forward and Backward
I wish to speak in favor of the Church. Warts and all. Mistakes and all. Crazies and all. I wish to speak in favor of the Church because it is the body of Christ and he is the Head. I do not wish to worship a bodiless Head. I wish to speak in favor of the Church because it is…

The importance of the Body of Christ… the Church
When you go to church you are really listening in to the secret wireless from our friends: that is why the enemy is so anxious to prevent us from going. — C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity We need to understand the true power of the Kingdom of God working through the Church. It is immense. We’ve dumbed it down and driven so…
