In reading some of the translator notes, is it possible that the NIV2011 is really going to be THIS good? So far I am impressed with the early documentation. They have really thought through a LOT of issues.

NIV2011 Coming Online
Via Rick Mansfield, who secretly still loves the TNIV (just kidding!), comes the news that the NIV2011 will be available ONLINE this November 1. Good news! I still use the TNIV for my church’s public reading and my own preaching. Nothing else has matched up. I am anxious to see what has changed.

Received the Common English Bible (NT) in the Mail
I am with Gary in Minnesota, so the dog sleds took an extra day to get the new copies of the Common English Bible out to us, I guess. It will be fun to give a new translation a “test run.” One thing that intrigues me about this Bible is they are planning to finish the entire translation in 2011…

Translations and Theological Statements
