This past Sunday I was grateful to preach on Simeon and Anna.
I need the example of Simeon and Anna in my life. To wait. To anticipate. To hear the voice of the Spirit.

An Anglicostal Connecting to a Real World
How nice to hear your voice, Bro!
You sound like a regular guy, not at all what I was expecting . . . I guess that I always imagined you as somewhat effete . . . no offense, but I guess that I just always thought of you like that.
I absolutely LOVED your enthusiastic description of the Korean grandmother and your comparison of her with the long awaiting Simeon’s scooping up the baby Jesus like the Korean grandmother who had excitedly scooped up your son and showed him all around.
And I absolutely LOVE your reading Jeremiah’s word from our LORD saying, “I have LOVED you with an everlasting love.” That verse hangs in our bedroom over our marriage bed, the bed where God and me and Karen, the wife of my youth, lay our heads and also in each other’s arms.
Excellent message with dynamic delivery!
Amen to Anselm’s prayer!
Thanks, Bro!
