On the occasion of my ordination anniversary

Four years ago I was ordained by the grace of God to the sacred order of deacons in the Anglican Church. It was a holy moment for me as I was making a huge shift in my ministry life. It was also during COVID, so it was memorable in more ways than one.

I have served these four years as a vocational deacon, choosing not to pursue the path of priesthood. This is something the Lord asked of me and I have rejoiced in what it has allowed me to do. The Anglican Church has been a good home for my wife and I. Our church is such an amazing place. Our diocese is a place of joy as well.

I want to pause every year and reflect on this ordination, reflect on my years of ministry in another denomination, and give thanks to God for every step of the journey. His mercies never end.
