What do the children of light look like? Pt 4

Part One
Part Two
Part Three

Their bodies are trained to do good and be ready to respond when needed.

They respond almost without thinking because “muscle memory” has been ingrained. The body doesn’t dictate what is next. The mind and the will are the guides for the body. What is no longer true of the child of light is what Jesus had to say to his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” For children of light, their bodies are no longer misaligned with the will of the Kingdom of God.

The body doesn’t dictate bad habits that lead to disharmony in the soul. Addictions are mastered. They are not trapped by a tongue that can’t be controlled or lack of control in facial expressions. The body is consecrated to serve God and habits have tuned it to respond to the Spirit and not the will of the spirit of this age.

Taking care of the body means the child of light is rested and ready. They are playful in their work, almost. There is a quiet strength, ready to respond.

My body has to be ready. How I eat, how I rest, how I exercise, all have purpose. It is not about “looking good,” or “being in shape” as much as it is my desire to ready to respond to the Spirit of God readily and thankfully.
