“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. (Matthew 5:13)
When we chase the world’s power we are tasteless salt in this world. A disciple of the kingdom who does not live like a disciple of the kingdom ( 5:3-12 ) is worth about as much as tasteless salt or invisible light.
