Some notes I wrote long ago on the Temptation of Christ in the wilderness:
The Spirit drives Jesus into the wilderness.
40 years for Israel.
40 days for Moses.
40 days for Elijah.
The place of temptation where Israel failed, Jesus would redeem.
Each of these had a “40” to deal with and it was at the beginning of something. It would catapult Moses, Israel, and Elijah to the next thing.
The enemy works to cut us off right before breakthrough. The PROCESS is key. When God has a path… WALK IT.
