The refreshing conversations in our lives

There are those moments in time where we may wonder, “Does God see us? Is he paying attention?” Maybe it’s more like, “What in the world is he doing?”

Moments like that certainly pop up in my own life and then… the Lord is so good to show up. Sometimes it’s through my Scripture reading or spiritual reading. Sometimes it’s through music.

This time it was through two significant conversations two days in a row. The Spirit breathed new life into my spirit as I was reminded of my calling. It was a time of refreshing where I am in the middle of these conversations and the Spirit is saying, “See… I’m right here. I see you.”

To those dear friends who breathed life into me… one brand new and the other life long… I want to say THANK YOU. I thank God for you and your obedience to his timing.

We all have those needs in our lives. We are humming along and then we just need … something. There is a bit of an emptiness… or a big emptiness.

Is anyone listening? Is anyone paying attention?

Friend, God IS paying attention. The rest of us try… but all too often fail. But the Spirit can work in two ways. One, he can stir YOU to act. To reach out to someone privately and simply say, “Help.” Two, the Spirit can stir that person on the other end by saying, “Hey, someone is about to get in touch with you. Hear them. Pray. Help.”

And when that happens, life has a possibility.

A life long friend reminded me that we all have those times where we hurt and we don’t know what to do. We are going to commit ourselves to doing better.

I will try to put this into better language very soon, especially for some life long friends we are thinking about right now.

But, for now, I want to thank the Lord for great friendships both brand new and life long. My spirit is refreshed because of you!
