I love Christmas. The stories. The family. The worship. All of it. It moves me deeply.
This Christmas nothing has moved me more than a short video from a worker in a “closed” country reading from Isaiah 9. The thought of their work in the hardest places of the world and hearing those words moved me deeply.
Christ has come. He is God with us. No matter what part of the world, no matter the political mood, no matter the condition of the country, he is God with us.
That worker saying these words in a “dark” place moved me deeply:
The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
on them has light shone. (Isa. 9:2)
May Christ’s light shine today. In our darkest moment, his light can still shine.
Merry Christmas
