In typical fashion, just before a trip it gets the busiest. This week leading up to the trip to Ethiopia has been insane.
I wanted to take a moment to simply say again THANK YOU to all who gave so generously toward this trip to Ethiopia. It has been so amazing to see this all come together. Thank you for praying as I go! The biggest prayer I ask is: 1. I really can bless those I minister to. I truly want the Holy Spirit to use my gifts for the glory of the Kingdom. 2. It is time for that “next step” in seeing what God has for our church in Africa. I want to be able to hear clearly when I am there.
As I leave, I am overwhelmed with the open doors we have as a church right here. With our property going on the market, I had an initial conversation with the city economic developer and it is great to see wide open opportunities for us as we look for a new location. The doors to our public high school stand wide open for us. We are putting together adult mentoring teams to work with at risk high school kids. Friends, the need is GREAT and the high school is so willing to have this conversation! We have a GREAT high school and they are working hard to help kids succeed. The opportunity to be on the high school campus is amazing.
Let us CONTINUE to be people of prayer! PRAY BLESSING over your family, your church, your city! Pray those prayers of Paul out of Ephesians!
We walk in the power of the Spirit to BLESS!
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Eph. 3:20-21)
