It’s been a few months, but I’ve decided I am finished with prayer.
The weak prayers I had been praying, the weak effort I had made… none of it was working.
Thankfully, God invited me to ask in a different way. He began inviting me to see HIS agenda and then ask for those things.
Since then, I’ve decided I’m finished with prayer. My old prayers. My old way of trying to figure out what to ask. I need to hear his voice, his Spirit, and then move.
The latest reminder of that type of prayer adventure has been Mark Batterson’s book, The Circle Maker. It has been a great ignitor in my prayer walk, confirming some of the things God has been inviting me to over the past few months.
I was given a copy of Draw the Circle, which is a 40 day prayer challenge. The first day’s reading is a fresh reminder for me.
Don’t try to manufacture your own miracles.
Don’t try to answer your own prayers.
Don’t try to do God’s job for Him.
Stay humble. Stay patient, Stay focused.
Keep circling.
Circling in prayer as I want to hear God’s will come in my life…
