Farm Faithfulness

Trust the LORD and do good;
   live in the land, and farm faithfulness.
(Psalm 37:3, CEB)

Is your faith “farm fresh”?

Our faith needs to be cultivated. It needs to be attended to. Lent is a season of reflection because we need to have times to see what God is doing. Pause. Look around. Take inventory.

Our life in God is not always about the next “hot” thing. It’s often about cultivating the incredible faith we have in the rich soil of the Kingdom and watch the power of God do something great.

Keep your faith active. Walk the fields of your soul and tend to what the Spirit is doing. Watch what HE is doing in your lives. It may not be “flashy”, but it will be powerful.

One response to “Farm Faithfulness”

  1. Last night was a good start to this season. The translation we read last night of David’s Psalm was churning in my head all night and still this morning. The secret, deep, hidden places of our soul, where only God can we see and know about. These are the places that need refining. These are the places where it is too easy to compromise and to withhold.

    People around me may see me write checks, but only God knows the spirit in which I am writing the check. People around me may see me with my bible, but only God knows if I truly have a thirst for his word. While worshipping in song, I may be seen raising my hands, but only the Lord knows my thoughts and heart. It is easy to appear righteous, but so much harder to truly please Him with a clean and pure spirit. It is day 2 and I already can tell the ned to Farm my Faith. The disciplines are something that I need to pursue with a LOT more intention.
