Testimonies in Church

We have a small church and people like to hear what God is doing in the lives of other people. When I hear something good in a smaller conversation, I’ll usually try to give an opportunity for that testimony to be told in church.

Such was the case yesterday. One of our members had a breakthrough in getting a job and I wanted her to share that testimony. I then wanted to give others opportunity to thank God for something he has done in their lives.

When I first started a church in Kansas, I gave that opportunity and a new guy asked to give a testimony. That, by far, is the strangest testimony I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Because of that, I usually try to gauge the audience to make sure I know everyone there. Such was the case yesterday. I knew everyone in the service.

So, when a lady got up and began with, “I came home from work one night and this white naked man was sleeping on my couch…”

I could put that testimony at NUMBER TWO on the charts right then and there.

  1. Please note, that was not her testimony, but the fact that God had protected her son and daughter from harm. Just thought I’d clear that up. LOL
