An Anglicostal Connecting to a Real World
There are more and I want to develop that thought, but two great models of pastoral ministry influencing my thinking right now:
Tim Keller (below left) and Eugene Peterson (below right).
I am starting to learn more about Keller. Peterson I have admired for so long and LOVE his books. Keller is becoming a model I truly enjoy watching as he engages the culture.
I have been coming to like what I see Tim Keller doing too. He is even in on the Veritas Forums and so he does good work. I need to read more of his books.
Well, Peterson is no secret but Keller? He really doesn’t grab me me. each to their own though! 🙂
It’s not such much Keller’s writing, as I’ve not read anything from him as yet. It’s his model of ministry in New York. I’m reading more about it. I am also watching more videos of how he engages the culture and it’s great to see. He is well-read, is not afraid to take on any issue, and does so with grace. I’m just starting to look at him, so that may change.
