Carlton Pearson was once the darling of the Charismatic world. He is an African American preacher with amazing flare. In the past few years he began preaching the gospel of inclusion. Everyone gets saved in the end. No matter the belief you had in this life, you get to go to heaven.

He said recently in a story in the Dallaas Morning News, “In five years everyone will be preaching the gospel of inclusion.”

I wanted to take this time right now to declare that on March 8, 2011, I will still be preaching the orthodox Christian faith, which is not Pearson’ s brand of “inclusion.” Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and no one comes to the Father except through him. I wanted to state that now just in case I will be the only one left in America preaching this gospel and everyone else has switched to inclusivism. Or, maybe I WILL start preaching inclusivism and someone can see this and declare me a liar. Either way, I want to be on the record.

I have a feeling I will not be the only one, however.

Come, Lord Jesus!

  1. Amen. Keep preaching that increasingly unorthodox faith!

You might find own thoughts on Pearson’s new “revelation.” I probe a recent NPR interview from late last year where Pearson reveals more of his theology and describes how he came to his revelation.
