I cannot state enough times or emphatically enough how much I am blown away with Jeremiah being the reading in the Daily Office at the time we are in culturally. These reminders are stark. I am also reminded of my own struggle as a pastor.

The call to pastor
In my lifetime as a minister we’ve moved from talking about “pastors” to focusing almost exclusively on “leadership.” I read passages like 1 Peter 5:1-5 and read articles like this one from Dennis Edwards, and my heart is stirred once again for a call to pastor. We need the shepherds once again.
Lead me, Great Shepherd
He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water. (Ps. 23:2) Lord, I don’t find water or food without you. I don’t know true abundance without you. I don’t know the way without you. Lead me, please, Great Shepherd.
