There is formation going on all the time. As Dallas Willard would say, “Everyone gets an education. It’s just a matter of what kind.”

    I am breezing my way back through a great memoir, The Pastor, by Eugene Peterson. What a gentle book to remind me of life and calling! Peterson grew up in a setting familiar to me when it came to church. His story resonates deeply in my life, at least until he went to college.

    We’ve been awhile on the road and I am looking forward to getting home in another week… even if Alabama is stupid hot. I was able to get out of that heat for almost three weeks, so I rejoice. And I will glad to be home as well.
