Tim Keller — ministry shifts he engaged

I am working my way through Timothy Keller: His Spiritual and Intellectual Formation by Collin Hansen.

What I admire about Keller is he was incredibly intelligent and deep into Reformed theology, but he never used that like so many other Reformed “bros” to beat others up with his “rightness.” His concern was reaching others and how the church would reach a changing/shifting culture.

From the book:

The church must become a place where doubters would be welcome, where questions would be honored, where critics would be answered alongside mature believers. Keller bucked the seeker trend of his boomer ministry peers. He cast a vision teaching Christian communities that engaged, embraced, and expected non-Christians. (p. 66)

His goal was to present the beauty of Christ and faith in every aspect of his ministry.
