Lord, let me see again

Luke 18:35-43

It is my deep prayer that the American church will one day cry out again for mercy from the Lord Jesus Christ. To repent of their desire for power, repent of their greed, and call out on God’s mercy for the way they were complicit in racism and mistreatment of immigrants.

The placement of this story in Luke is to demonstrate Israel had the opportunity to cry out for mercy. The American conservative church has the same opportunity.

“Lord, let me see again!”

We are broken and can’t see it. We are deeply wounded and can’t feel it. We are on the edge of deep trouble and do not realize it.

“Lord, let me see again!”

This is my prayer. May the Lord touch us with grace and healing and sight once again.
