This week we are exploring 1-2 Thessalonians and Philemon at Heights Church.

There are two “big” questions that probably jump out in our reading. But I don’t want to go there.

Instead, I want to invite you to meditate on the Scripture. We get caught up in the issues of our day and too often forget to spiritually read the Scripture.

Today, enter into a lectio divina of some kind with the last part of 1 Thessalonians 5.

My particular meditation is centering on this verse:

1 Thessalonians 5:23
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Allow the Word to soak in. It’s not just about OUR questions. It is about allowing the text to examine us.
