He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” (Mark 4:21-23, NIV)
The kingdom is bursting on the scene. What are you doing with it? There is an accountability. There is a need for response.
We too often “consider” the things of Jesus, or pick and choose what we think we may like about Jesus… and leave it at that. Jesus did not leave it there. He let people know there was a response needed.
Kingdom goodness, joy, abundance, justice… all of it… is what Jesus offers. All of it. It’s not up to us to “consider” it and then tuck that knowledge away. It is up to us to respond.
These are days of Kingdom response.
There is a cost to following Jesus. There is a cost to NOT following Jesus. Weigh it out. Then respond.
