There are moments when I wonderfully realize God has orchestrated paths crossing so the Spirit has an opportunity to work.
Unfortunately, there are also other times I get so busy and distracted I miss those divine moments altogether.
This past week were a couple of moments I’m glad I didn’t miss. One was visiting a young man in a detention center and having the opportunity to pray with another parent who was distressed. Her son had just been arrested the night before and she was spending her Mother’s Day visiting a son in jail. It was overwhelming, to say the least.
Then it was during the week having a conversation with another parent going through a tough decision. As I was offering advice, the Spirit turned my conversation completely and the words that came out were very different than I had planned. Yet, they were confirmation to him as to what direction he needed to take. (He was still deciding if he would take it.)
Pray to walk in the Spirit. Pray that those moments don’t pass you by. There is the opportunity to plant seed, or water, or even harvest.
Pray for the power of the Spirit to stay aware.
