I am preparing for Palm Sunday and part of that is reading the text in Matthew 21:1-11. I couldn’t stop there. What did he do AFTER making that triumphal entry?

He ransacked the Temple. He healed IN the Temple, drawing the weak in… and he blessed children.

This is a powerful statement. He is NOT going after Rome, like everyone wanted. He is going after the religious, and demonstrating powerfully how they’ve lost focus.

The shout we give in the moment of, “Save us, GOD!” may get turned into a moan of, “Dear God, I didn’t mean for you to come after ME!”

The One riding into Jerusalem one week is not exactly made from OUR image. We want our view of that King, but he refuses to slip into that mold. HE is King… and he may just be coming after you.
