I sat with a young man working with InterVarsity in Duluth, MN this morning. We dreamed some big dreams together as I listened to a young man caught up in the call of God and longing to impact students lives that can make a difference in the decades to come in the fields of science and math. Huge dreams.
Yesterday it was with my school district’s superintendent as we talked about what is ahead for our schools and thinking about how to make students’ lives more fulfilling. I listened to dreams filled with faith and belief.
I think of dreams God is giving me. To see our church do some amazing things in the next couple of decades as we enjoy this journey together.
To plant new churches. To “own” a country. To mentor a new generation of ministry leaders. On and on.
A couple of weeks ago it was a simple word from God: “Next year you will be in Africa.”
Today, those plans are far more secured than I could have dreamed when the Lord first spoke that word. The opportunity to explore, to pour into the lives of ministry students overseas, to see what God wants us, as a church, to do to change some nation in this world… dream with me.
Let us hear from heaven and know that when God puts a dream in our heart, it’s up to HIM to get it done. That helps take some pressure off!
Dream today.
