When I’ve watched some live sporting event and the game is over and they are ready to send you back to the regular schedule, or it’s a news flash and they are ready to leave the reporting, they will say, “We now return you to the program already in progress.”

This is the activity of God. God is active. He is not waiting on us to show and then say, “Whew! Glad you’re here. Now I can get to doing something!”

When we show up, God is at work in us to get us there. But we will always find that when we get to where God is leading us we find God already at work. We have joined God’s work already in progress.

This is what I want to pray this week! I want to wake up with the prayer, “Lord, help me to SEE what you are doing, and join your work in progress!”
