Regulating the stock market is always a tough deal, but last week things got a little dicier. A hoax Twitter post made an audacious claim about President Obama. The market then sank 150 points almost immediately.

This isn’t about regulations. It’s about creating margin in our lives. When everyone believes a hoax Twitter, it shows how little we stop and THINK. We are so ready to believe just a headline… just one Twitter post… just one Facebook status…

Margin must be created in our lives so we can have the space to evaluate what is coming into our lives.

Take the time to stop and reflect on a regular basis. Put it on your calendar and make an appointment with yourself. Turn off the static in your life. Take in Scripture. Pray.

Living without margin creates the possibility of mistakes… and stock market dives.
