A Prayer of Confession

Lord, I am too often with the disciples on this one. You are trying to teach, and you generously give me lesson after lesson, yet when you quiz me on something you just said, I simply don’t get it.

While seeming to look straight at you to get the answer, I have been distracted from hearing the answer.

While walking with you for years, there are still times I am just plain deaf and blind.

Help me to SEE. Help me to HEAR.

Your voice is calling and I need my ears opened. You are pointing the way and I need my eyes opened.

Give me ears to hear and eyes to see. I do not want to miss your Kingdom’s agenda!
