All the talk of “sequestration” and drastic cuts continue. We are on the verge of catastrophe, I’m sure.
Or, maybe not.
In this article, there are both extremes.
To one side:
California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters cautioned that “over 170 million jobs” were at risk. (That would mean negative employment, considering there aren’t even that many jobs right now in the U.S.)
“We’re going to lose more jobs than we have!”
How is that for hyperbole?
Then, the other side:
Congress can vote at any time to replace the sequester with an alternative. The March 1 deadline merely sets the process into motion, and it will be gradual—perhaps so gradual that most people won’t even notice.
A whole lotta nuthin’ is going on… and will continue to go on. It’s a do-nothing Congress in a do-nothing world.
God bless America.
