The Joy of Clinging

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
On my bed I remember you;
I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:5-8, NIV)

For those who think Lent is full of sadness and despair, try actually reading the assigned Psalms. They aren’t quite as depressing as you might think!

We need our lives examined, but we also need to have the Kingdom of God truly pour into us a vision of abundance. When we are in the presence of God we have a rich table spread before us. We are in the presence of the King. There is no scarcity.

Let that thirst drive you to meditate on his goodness!
