The Public Bus and the Church

Work with me on this one.

I don’t ride the bus a lot, but this fall I’ve chosen to use it more. As I reflect on riding on the bus, I think of how the public bus might be a better reflection of what the Church should be, in some ways. There are certainly ways it reflects the Church in not so good ways as well. (You sit and look at the back of someone’s head and hit the door as quick as you can to get out.)

If you ride public transportation, what have you observed about the people around you? Have you thought about how the crowd you’re looking at reflects, or should reflect, the Church?

I’m building some ideas and formulating thought, so if you use public transportation, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
