The Path of Longing

Make your ways known to me, Lord;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth—teach it to me—
because you are the God who saves me.
I put my hope in you all day long. (Ps. 25:4-5, CEB)

The nature of the Kingdom is to ASK. It is also necessary that when we ask… we wait for the answer.

Too often we short-circuit our walk with God because we ask, then go off to do our own thing. David’s determination is to hear from God.

“I’ll wait all day long if needed.”

There is intimacy in the life of prayer. It is found in the longing. It is the desire to know God more fully and the willingness to wait until you hear from him.

One response to “The Path of Longing”

  1. Wait…good word. Good, but hard especially when I’m running late for work.
