13 Then Elisha picked up the coat that had fallen from Elijah. He went back and stood beside the banks of the Jordan River. 14 He took the coat that had fallen from Elijah and hit the water. He said, “Where is the LORD, Elijah’s God?” And when he hit the water, it divided in two! Then Elisha crossed over. (2 Kings 2:13-14, CEB)
It’s not about the past revivals. It’s not about past moves of God. It’s about standing in front of the obstacle today. It’s about standing in front of the challenge today.
I can talk about the revivals of Edwards, Finney, Azusa Street, and Brownsville. But it’s not that time I stand in. It is this time. And the God of Edwards, Finney, Seymour, and Hill needs to show up today. The miracles back “in the day” are great. But those miracles are past. It is today.
It is time to see if that anointing is truly dwelling in this place.
